We must invest in our veterans and their endeavors.
Our veterans took the pledge to give the ultimate sacrifice if required, in order that our country remains free and accessible to all who believe in equality and justice. Now it is up to Missouri to pay them back. One easy way to accomplish this from the State Treasurer’s Office is to ensure businesses owned by veterans, with or without disabilities, have easy access to contracting and investment opportunities with the state. Providing educational and economic capital to Missouri veterans cannot fully pay back what they have given to this state, but it’s a start. And as Treasurer, I know that helping our entrepreneuring veterans means helping thousands of businesses, millions of families, and our state as a whole.
